As a Milan fan, I will be the first to admit that I was a bit critical of the decision to bring David Beckham in. The team already littered the field with aging players and I did not think a 'burnt out' Beckham was going to make a difference. I thought if anything, it was a PR move. Now, I will be the first to admit I was wrong. Becks has been brilliant for the Rossoneri in his short haitus from America. He's looked much better playing with the 'creme de la creme' in Europe than his time spent in LA. It would be surprising to me if he does not indeed land himself a spot on the English team. All that being said, I think it is huge that Milan keeps him. If nothing else, it would be a pyschological blow to lose him at this point and with the Scudetto in our sights it would be a shame to let him slip away back to the mediocrity of the MLS.
Apparently Victoria "Posh" Beckham is not so keen on the idea though. Their kids are starting school and she does not want to move to a non-English speaking country. Come on Posh, we need David in Italy, don't be afraid to "Spice Up Your Life."
